On year-end lists, algorithms, and the pleasure of the past
Thank you for curating such great lists. Have you read Jesse Jarnow's YLT book, 'Big Day Coming,'? I have a funny aside story about Harlow's if so.
Also enjoyed 'Lungfish' this year by Meghan Gilliss and Joan Didion's 'Blue Nights.'
I haven't --but I will check it out, as well as Lungfish!
Great non-listy recs! I also love Wet Leg. If you like them, you might (or probably already do) like Automatic. I saw them at Red Museum in the fall. I also watched Severance twice and adore Abbot Elementary. Going to check out Bad Sisters.
I haven't heard Automatic - will def check them out!
Btw would love to see more of your illustrations in your posts!
I plan to keep on drawing—and maybe occasionally posting!
